After re-examining the entries in the competition, the competition jury decided not to select the winners in the competition. None of the competition entries met all the requirements set out in the competition regulations.

Saule Technologies Awards 2020
is an International Competition in three areas:
Building Applied Photovoltaics
Area 1
To create a concept of implementation of Saule Technologies solutions implementation in existing buildings.
Internet of things
Area 2
To create a concept of new or existing thing using Saule Technologies perovskite cell module, and to find a way to breathe life into it incorporating the new properties.
e-Mobility
Area 3
A competition for eMobility proponents to create a new EV charging solution using Saule Technologies perovskite cell module.

Awards
The winners will receive financial prizes distributed as follows:

Winners and honorable mentions will be published on Saule Technologies website 22 September 2020.

Winners and honorable mentions will have a unique possibility to join an R&D project as a part of the team and will receive a contract proposal.

Saule Technologies commits to apply for the EU funding.

In addition to the possibility of project implementation, the three winners will be included in the executive team within Saule Technologies R&D project as a team member. They will also sign a cooperation agreement (with a guaranteed fee).

The competition entry selected by the Competition Jury as the winner will be the substantive basis for the application for co-financing from EU funds (or similar in nature, e.g. Norway Grants) for the implementation of the project (hereinafter: “Project”).
In the event of the Organizer signing a contract for co-financing for the implementation of the Project, the Organizer shall sign a cooperation agreement with the Winner (one or more persons being part of the Participant’s team): (i) for a remuneration of PLN 5,000 for the first 10 months of the Contract (total PLN 50.000), (ii) requiring only temporary commitment of up to 10 hours per month, (iii) where the purpose of such an agreement will be to advise the Participant as part of the R&D implementation team of the Organizer and Partner as part of implementing the Project. If the Winner is not a natural person, the Winner indicates a specific natural person (natural persons) who will be entitled to conclude a cooperation agreement with the Organizer.
Considering the above, the prize for the Winner in the Competition is PLN 50.000 equivalent which means that the sum of the prizes in the Competition reaches PLN 150.000 equivalent (3 Competitions x PLN 50,000 PLN equivalent).
How the winner will be selected
Awards Criteria
Depending on the area you choose, the submission will consist in creating a Listing Sheet presenting:
Area 1:
BAPV: a concept incorporating Saule Technologies solutions with the aim to enable existing infrastructure to generate green energy without detriment to the landscape and architecture.
Area 2:
IoT: a concept aimed at incorporating Saule Technologies cells into an existing product which would give “new life” to the product and, thanks to its new properties, solve the problem with the product’s charging.
Area 3:
e-Mobility: a concept for a Saule Technologies product which would contribute to the production of energy for electric vehicles.

You will be provided with a detailed template upon registration.
Submissions will be rated based on the following criteria:
Projects rated 22 points or higher will be nominated for the main awards.
The final winners will be selected by the jury.
